Fashionista Wear: Sequins Sequins

Turn on the glitz ladies sequins has quickly become the must have fall item. The funny thing is I wear sequins all year round. Here are some shots of me in the summer time with one of my favorite sequin tops and shoes. Just a little tip, a chic sequins top during the day, worn with jean or shorts gives it more of a causal vibe. Hence why I have one of my fave jean shorts on. Who doesn't want to shine!

Also included in one of my bff's Tiange, causing a splash during New York Fashion week with this sequin ensemble and shorts, WERK!!!.

Hilarious Lanvin Ad

Fall is here!!! I'm excited but not really prepared. But in the meantime checkout this hilarious Lanvin Fall Winter 2011-2012 Ad campaign. I absolutely loved Lanvin's creative director Alber Elbaz cameo at the end.

I loved how models Karen Elson and Raquel Zimmerman, danced like their careers were on the line.  Good job too guys, loving the Amish influenced hats.  If you didn't get it they were purposely dancing badly. Some essentials for fall, according to Lanvin. For ladies black felt hat, felt coat in beige or black, jeweled toned satin dresses, lambskin mid-length gloves and a statement necklace. For men a wool puffer jacket, lambskin gloves, wide brim felt hat and nylon shopping bag. I'm sold.

Stay tuned for my list of fall must-haves.

NYFW Spring 2012 Part 2 Michael Angel

Ordinary Fashionistas had the privilege of attending the Michael Angel presentation at the box in Lincoln center. Michael Angel launched his collection in 2007, and is quickly becoming a well known American designer. His use of unique prints and color make his clothing a statement piece. The spring 2012 collection was inspired by ancient Egypt and a tribute to his mother who is from Cairo.

Angel stated that his brand will always celebrate prints, color and vibrancy. Everything that I love!!!

It's all about the detailing

NYFW Spring 2012 Part 1 Badgley Mischka

So last week was New york fashion week. I was super excited to be able to attend some shows, considering my uber busy schedule. Ordinary fashionistas attended the Michael Angel, Badley Mischka, Tadashi Shoji and VlOV-QingQing Wu runway shows.

This is what I wore (Dress-vintage belt-vintage)

First off is the Badgley Mischka Show. Mark Badgley and James Mischka were inspired by old movies, particularly the 50's. I especially enjoyed the pairing of bold colored clothing with simple boldly colored shoes. This season is all about the celebration of color, bows, brocade and shimmer. Loved it all.

I had some technical difficulties with the camera and all the clapping, but after awhile I got the hang of things, so please excuse the shaking. Hence why I also provided an awesome youtube clip.

Below are some of my favorite looks. Enjoy!!!
